Bathrooms are arguably the most popular place for tile. Whether it's a shower splash, floor, niche or vanity wall, the options are endless when it comes to tiling in the space where we start our days. Continue reading to see 6 of our favorite bathroom tile backsplashes to show how different shaped tile can flawlessly fit and transform any bathroom design...
1. Subway
First and foremost, subway tile is probably the most popular of all due to it's versatility. The bathroom is the perfect place to play around with Subway Tile layout. With options like stacked, staggered, crosshatch, or pinwheel, the sky is the limit when it comes to getting creative with subway tile. This Pencil Shavings Studio bathroom is one of our all time favorites because it checks all the right boxes: brightly colored Subway tile, a shower niche and a Hexagon flower patterned floor!

2. Herringbone
Although herringbone is technically subway tile, we wanted to give it its own category because we just can't get enough of it. We love this Joinery and Design Co backsplash because it proves that bathrooms aren't limited to shower tile. In fact, we almost prefer a tiled vanity wall because you get to take in its beauty every time you walk in!

3. Diamonds
Diamonds are another shape that totally nail it in the versatility category. If your goal is to turn your bathroom into a Scandinavian dream, look no further than these bright white Medium Diamonds in Chevron Pattern. When using all one glaze color, try to get creative with the design and overall flow of the tile. Laying out our Medium Diamonds in the Chevron Pattern makes these 24 square feet of tile seem like this wall will go on for miles.

4. Moroccan Fish Scales
If we had to choose one tile shape for every bathroom remodel, it'd be our Large Moroccan Fish Scales. This shape automatically turns any bathroom into a tropical oasis. We're used to seeing clients flock towards these mermaid tiles for their bathroom, usually in our 1017E Sea Mist, but love this Fox Homes splash of warm color. This shower statement wall is one of our new favorites- It shows that you can bring pinks and warm colors into a bathroom and still give off "beachy" vibes.

5. Hexagons
Available in Small and Large formats, Hexagons always take the prize in the sleek and chic category. Hexagon tiles became popular during the 1920′s and 1930′s in bungalow style homes but have recently made a comeback in the design world. This simple geometric shape with a bold turquoise glaze does wonders as a bathroom backsplash. This bohemian master bath is everything we've dreamed of in a bathroom. The cherry on top? The gorgeous complementary Rebel Walls Mischievous Monkeys wallpaper!

6. Penny Rounds
These Small Penny Rounds are totally underrated in our opinion. They are the perfect way to add a whimsical touch to the bathroom. This yellow shower niche checks all the boxes for a beautiful Mid-Century Modern design - a retro pattern, mustard yellow, and a splash of color.
