7 Statement Shower Wall Ideas You'll Love

One of our favorite spots to make a statement is the shower wall. We appreciate having a tile accent that's fun and personality-filled in the place where we start our mornings. As for ideas, we have plenty! For this blog, we've narrowed it down to seven of our favorite client projects that used tile to create character. From bold color, simple customizations, to eye-catching design detail - be prepared to want to remodel your bathroom after this blog. Read on to go through 7 statement shower wall ideas you'll love.

Idea No. 1 - Choose a Bold Color

Making a statement doesn't need to cost extra, in fact, we have plenty of affordable ways to add unique tile on a budget. The best way to make the biggest impact with fewer dollars? Using a bold color. Right now we're adoring pink bathrooms, and these scalloped Grapefruit tiles have us absolutely in love. These lovely warm beauties are available to purchase through our website and will be shipped on easy-to-install mesh sheeting, how amazing is that?

Idea No. 2 - Use a Contrasting Color

Get your tile to pop by using a contrasting color of tile from the rest room. In this coastal bathroom, the entire space is bright white with some neutral variations, which allowed the bright blue subway tile to draw the eye immediately. It's a great example of how tile can shape the vibe of an entire room and how a statement piece can still be timeless, clean, and contemporary.

Idea No. 3 - Try a Monochromatic Mix

We want to make sure you don't shy away from color...so a monochromatic mix like this costs the same amount as a single tile color! We love using monochromatic colors because it offers an incredible natural variation of color without overtaking a space. The vibrant greens of the Moroccan Fish Scale shower below makes this shower a mermaid-worthy bathroom that would have us jumping out of bed to start the day every morning.

Idea No. 4 - Go Ombre

Have two colors you love? Rather than picking one, try blending them both with an ombre shower wall. This look is perfectly suited for our Moroccan Fish Scale tile but it looks great in a variety of shapes from Diamond, Subway, to Hexagon. We've made countless projects like this and it has become a client favorite, so we're happy to help make your favorite colors blend together for a beautiful fade like the project below.

Idea No. 5 - Finish with Organic Edging

Taking care to properly finish your tile installation is crucial to a polished execution. While you could go with pencil liners, bullnose, or v-caps, we adore the modern look of organic edging. If going for this technique, please make sure to let us know, we'll paint the edges of your exposed tile for a clean look that will maintain it's sheen throughout years of showers. As the white Diamond shower below shows, this easy concept creates a geometric statement that is truly awe-inspiring, no extra bells or whistles needed.

Idea No. 6 - Mix + Match Tile Shapes

Create a bold pop by mix matching tile shapes. There are so many fun variations to this idea that we've created, but this Cobalt stripe of Moroccan Fish Scales against classic Subway Tile stands the test of time as a winner. To create a look like this project, our team can custom cut the pieces to have perfect grout lines before shipping to your door, making a project that could be a challenging and technical install a walk in the park.

Idea No. 7 - Use a Contrasting Grout Color

If you're a minimalist who also wants impact, playing with grout color just might be your tile cup-of-tea. We love the simple white tile with a dark grout color, but you can also play with cool glazes and warm grout, dark tile with light grout, the list of ideas goes on!
