One thing that we love about this moody aestheic is the brilliant use of trinkets. 2. Onyx Blend Backsplash

If there's one tile blend that falls into the category of this ever so popular Goth-assaince trend, it's our Onyx Blend. This movement tends to romanticize dark colors, texture and pattern while honoring ornamental dark decor from centerpieces to knick knacks. This dramatic tiled home bar checks all the boxes. We love the richness of the two glaze colors and two finishes. Plus, the unique layout of Herringbone verse stacked mosaic subway tile adds a depth that definitely follows this dark and moody aesthetic.

3. Old English Tiled Bar

Another moody bar that we had to add the list was this Cabinetry Refined hutch. Although this bar backsplash doesn't check the "paint it black" box, the homeowners inspiration was an Old English basement pub so it fits with the Dark Academia trend perfectly. The classic architecture, warmth of the dark wood paired with the vibrant green of our Sea Mist glaze automatically turns this space into a dreamy dark parlour.

7. Matte Black Commercial Bar

It's no surprise that this gorgeous bar backsplash is home to the amazing Studio Grey design studio. The matte black surround with gold fixtures and under-lit floating shelves make this kitchen look like it's straight out of an Old Hollywood movie. Plus, we love how they opted to stack the Subway Tile in a vertical orientation. So sleek!
