Kitchen Tile Designs for Your Style

Kitchen Tile Designs for Your Style

Do you like things bright and bold, or neutral and minimal? When it comes to our tile, we have design ideas for whatever your style may be! Kitchens are one of the best rooms to play around with interior design styles. From the appliances, cabinetry, decor, and (most importantly) the backsplash, there are so many ways for you to embrace your personality throughout the space. In this blog we're showing off 7 of our favorite ways that our tile can enhance your kitchen style from coastal to Scandinavian. Read on to see 7 creative kitchen backsplash ideas for your style.

1. Rustic

Reclaimed wood has become a huge trend in kitchen woodwork, and with it comes a rustic look. This is a broad term that includes multiple styles such as Modern Farmhouse, Mountain Modern, Tuscan, and Cottage to name a few. The goal of rustic is to emphasize the natural. The kitchen backsplash below nailed the look with the naturally-occurring shape of Moroccan Fish Scales in an organic monochromatic range of earthy blue glazes.

2. Classic

There's a reason to choose classic - you know it will never get old! But just because something is classic, doesn't mean it needs to lack in personality. One of our favorite tile options for a classic kitchen design is a herringbone pattern. This pattern has stood the test of time and adds instant elegance to any space. While you could opt for neutral, we love the look of this in a bold color, like in the kitchen backsplash below. If going more adventurous, add a few decor items that match that pop of color and keep the rest of the space neutral or bright white.

This kitchen is in the home of our friend from Pencil Shavings Studio, who also has a stunning classic style bathroom with our tile! See that gorgeous project highlight with our blog "Stunning Sapphire Blue Tile Design for a Small Bathroom"

3. Scandinavian

Get your hygge on with a Scandinavian kitchen. This style is characterized by bright spaces that are cozy, minimal, clean, and filled with natural elements. When working with this look we like to use tile in neutral glazes with high variation. We also adore using our more geometric shapes like Diamonds, Hexagons, or Herringbone. The kitchen below mastered this look with clean and minimal decor, bright white paint, gold accents, and a subtle ombre in their tile backsplash.

5. Mid-Century Modern

Mid-Century Modern or MCM, is known for geometric shapes, strong lines, and bold color. This kitchen does not disappoint, giving bold pops of primary color within a natural range of color and texture. We love this mix tile blend so much, we offer it on our online shop - check it out here

6. Boho

Embrace self-expression, bright colors, layered textures, and bold pattern with the Boho style. Our favorite tiles for this look are deep green and teal hexagons. The project below is a more minimal take on the style, but nonetheless offers a strong personality with the vintage rattan light, reclaimed wood flooring, and funky tile.

Last, but certainly not least, a style we adore so much...coastal! This look gives the relaxed and fun vibe of a beach day, and who doesn't want that in their home? We particularly love how perfectly suited our Moroccan Fish Scales are for this style. We've seen it accomplished in many different homes from kitchens, floors, bathrooms, and more!
