Let’s find the best tile shape for you! With so many options out there – we want to help you decide on a tile shape that best suits the needs for you and your unique space. We’re discussing some of the most important things to consider when choosing tile for your project. Where will your tile be going? What colors are you interested in? And most importantly, how do you want your tile to reflect your unique style or the style that you are wishing to achieve? We are covering all your options for shapes, from our classic and timeless Subway Tiles to more dynamic shapes such as our Moroccan Fish Scales. We also will show you our three most popular shapes!
When selecting tile for your kitchen backsplash, entry floor, or shower wall, it is important to think through your tile shape options and decide which one is best for you.
Use accent tile areas
In handmade tile, the smaller the tile is the more time intensive it is to create which increases the value of the tile. If you love Moroccan Circles or Small Moroccan Fish Scales but don’t have the budget for a full wall, accent areas are a perfect and gorgeous solution! These can be a square or rectangular area above your stove.
Here you see our Savvy Squares as an accent with our Subway Tile covering the majority of the backsplash. Using two different tiles, especially Subway Tile, is a very poplar way to use different shapes!
These homeowners wanted to use our Medium Moroccan Fish Scales and decided that an accent area was the best decision for their kitchen. We think it looks pretty awesome! These accents are perfect for our more intricate tile patterns. Moroccan Circles, Small Moroccan Fish Scales, or Bubbles would be stunning in an area like this!
Go big – cover all your walls with your favorite shapes
Sometimes you really can’t have too much of a good thing. When you know what you want, in the long run it will be worth it to have more of what you love! Here are just a few examples, but the options are endless.
