We opened our studio doors to the amazing Construction2Style & Alta Events for the second annual BizCom Summit event, and we left with bundles of inspiration and excitement for future marketing projects. We learned so much from the influencers, bloggers, and other creatives at the event about marketing strategies and creating a consistent online presence.
Speakers and Panels
Creating an online presence for your business is a daunting process. Learning all the ins and outs of marketing on the internet can be a total nightmare. BizCom Summit gives small businesses the opportunity to get together and share their experiences and offer advice to one another. We feel so lucky to be surrounded by a community of small businesses so willing to offer a helping hand to others.
A huge thank you to all the speakers who joined us to share their experiences of running a small business.

The Hosts
We adore hosting events in our space, especially when they are put on by the amazing Alta Events and Construction2Style. This dream duo truly does it all. They curated a magical and thoughtful evening filled with inspiration, community and advice. Similar to this event, their workshops are all about bringing like minded individuals to create something bigger together. For more info on 2020 workshops, head over to the events calendar.

The Refreshments
Drinks and snacks were a must for the event and Misfit Coffee and Catered by Carrie checked all the right boxes. If you are ever in need of a private bartender, we highly recommend Marcus from MisFit Coffee- his cocktails are beautifully crafted works of art. He also has a portable coffee bar because you can never have too much coffee! As for the food, Carrie from Catered by Carrie blew us away with her delicious snacks and desserts.

Mercedes Austin
Our mover and Shaker, Mercedes Austin, was one of the breakout speakers. She spoke about how to handle the success of a small business. We can't say enough good things about this badass boss lady of ours. When she first started Mercury Mosaics, she dreamed of having a large studio space with high ceilings and natural light where her team could come to work everyday. Now, she has just that and it's a result of her trusting her intuition, thinking outside the box, and getting out of her own way for the past 17 years.
