6 Projects to Show a Little Tile Goes a Long Way

As much as we would love a house covered from floor ceiling with tile, we totally understand that that may not be possible for many reasons. Luckily, you can make the same impact with as little as two square feet of tile as you can with 100 square feet of tile. From niches to fireplaces, we've compiled a list of six of our favorite projects that show how a little bit of tile goes a long way...

1. Scandinavian Chevron Shower

We're all for color but we can't help but fall for a fresh, monochrome palette. This all white Scandinavian statement wall is absolute eye-candy. When using all one glaze color, try to get creative with the design and overall flow of the tile. Laying out these Medium Diamonds in Chevron Pattern makes these 24 square feet of tile seem like this wall will go on for miles.

2. DIY Tiled Hutch

Not being able to tile without owning a house is a total bummer... or so we thought until we saw this jaw-dropping Cabinetry Refined hutch. Fear no more renters - this tiled hutch is giving us all the inspiration for furniture that you can tile and take with you when you move to your next home. With just 24 square feet of tile, a refurnished piece of furniture can be transformed into a show-stopping masterpiece.

3. Glam Art-Deco Fireplace

Fireplaces are meant to be the center of attention. So, why not give them the attention they deserve? This highlight is now the centerpiece of not only the room, but the entire house as you can see it from the front door. Designer, Emily Meszkat, created a big visual impact by having just 28 square feet of pink and purple Moroccan Fish Scales at the head of this "glamily room".

4. Bathroom Niche

Who knew that just over two square feet of tile can transform your whole design? We absolutely love when clients add a splash of color next to white Subway Tile. The best part is  whether you choose one glaze color or ten, it's the same price! These 2.5 square feet of colorful Medium Moroccan Fish Scales adds a uniqueness to this shower that is truly unmatched.

5. Bohemian Remodeled RV

Mandy and Kevin of 188sqft have been permanent residents of the open road since 2015. They made it their mission to transform a 2018 Keystone Cougar RV into a home for their family of six. When living in an RV, creating a space that feels like a home can be challenging so adding a splash of colorful tile can go a long way.

6. Sea Mist Bathroom Oasis

This bathroom speaks for itself. Flooded with natural light from the skylight above, this green oasis is nestled inside a beautiful Brooklyn Brownstone. With black and white detailing, our Large Moroccan Fish Scales in 1017E Sea Mist make this space pop. In just 25 square feet, the designer completely transformed this bathroom into a masterpiece.
