Your home tells a part of your story and the interior design are the words used to craft it. With tile being a main design element, we wanted to show you a home tour of the rehabilitation of this beautiful Fort Greene Brownstone in Brooklyn, NY! For the kitchen these homeowners selected a white Subway Tile for the main part of the kitchen wall. To offset the white backdrop of Subway Tile, they chose our 1036W Bluegrass in 3″x6″ Subway Tile as the colorful climax of the kitchen! The deep green has a beautiful gloss and range of variation to show of the handmade quality to the tile. For only using 24 square feet of tile, the effects are quite impactful!
1036W Bluegrass – 3”x6” Subway Tile
We love the look of tile from floor to ceiling! The gold piping with exposed shelves to show off the dishes and books is a lovely way to show off personality and the warmth of a lived-in home. The dark green of the tile under the center island allows bright and bold colors to be used in this space that is both elegant and eclectic. The dark blue velvet stools are a gorgeous alternative to standard stools!
Zooming out of the kitchen we see the adjacent living room. The deep emerald green sofa pairs magnificently with the Bluegrass Subway Tile! The bold use of pattern and bright colored accents around the room are to die for. We love that this historic space is elegant enough for a queen, yet it has the eclectic nature of colors and warmth that make you feel right at home!
For a similar look, you can try this same glaze in 2″x6″ Subway Tiles for a more modern feel!
