If you live near Minneapolis, you’ve definitely heard the buzz about the gorgeous new opening of the Bachelor Farmer Cafe. Even if you don’t live in the area, you have probably seen us post images that showcase one of our favorite spaces we have been able to create tile for!
The Bachelor Farmer Cafe is a creation of the Dayton brothers located in the North Loop of Minneapolis. Since the spot is right in our neck of the woods, we had to stop over and try some of the open faced sandwiches along with some of the most delicious pastries around and we were not disappointed! Here is a peak into the process of the handmade tile we created for the cafe!
Locally created, every piece of Diamond shaped tile on the walls of this cafe were created by hand by skilled artisans right in our studio. From blocks of clay, we cut out the shapes, glaze, fire in our kilns, and lay the tiles out according to the precise detail of the finished designs.
Once all the tile has been made and laid out to perfection, it is ready to be installed in the space, and voilà! Enter the space that will make you swoon with every detail from the backsplash tile to the flaky croissants.
