Black and white, and a little bit in-between creates a minimalistic gradation of your dreams! Color trends are constantly changing, but black and white have consistently remained a timeless choice for interior design. For this bright and airy master-bath, we worked with NE MPLS Properties to design a statement wall for the shower that features a high contrasted gradation of black to white and the results are heavenly. A color gradation is a always a great way to open up a space and build height. The use of our Large Format Honeycomb creates a uniquely bold and geometric look that is to die for.

These photo are from the demolition process, but it is hard to believe it is the same space! Clearly there was a lot of work to be done. This bathroom went from a battle zone to a clean and crisp bathroom with white as the main color to brighten up the space. The large mirror over the sink with a heavy dark wood border adds contrast and makes a small bathroom look larger. The best part of the mirror is that you can see the tile on the shower wall even as you walk into the space!
Shower walls are a perfect space to use handmade tile. The large area offers a perfect canvas for tile shapes and patterns. The vertical aspect of shower walls is great for gradation in the color palette, which is very popular in interior design! The natural fade of colors is a great way to use a variety of tones in a way that is harmonious and pleasing to the eye without feeling chaotic. These homeowners chose to stay with a black and white scale, but included glazes that have depth to keep the design anything but boring!
Honeycomb tile is a very popular tile shape for many reasons. The inspiration comes from nature—the best source of design inspiration! The round yet angular shape is very easy to repeat and is a great contrasting complement to the Subway Tile on the adjacent wall. Notice the use of dark grout! This allows the black and darker shades of grey to blend in nicely, and allows the lighter tones of tile to pop!
