Hourly Rate: $25-$35, depending on experience

30-40 hours per week

 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude and have experience working with a multi-channel manufacturing organization. You will be responsible for maintaining daily financial functions and overall financial health of the organization to promote success and growth. Their duties will also include financial planning to determine how to pay off liabilities and grow the business, reviewing financial documents to ensure compliance, and collaboration with other departments to achieve monetary goals

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the daily operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Complete the monthly financial statement close process, conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of our general ledger, and ensuring precision and efficiency in all accounting processes.
  • Preparing the production of periodic financial reports ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. 
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Provides high-level reporting to Leadership to assist strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with sales tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
  • 7+ experience required.
  • CPA designation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Able to travel as needed.
