Subway Tile in a Park Slope Brownstone
A Jewel Box Bathroom Renovation

In this Park Slope townhouse renovation, handcrafted subway tile becomes a quiet architectural foundation for these meticulously detailed bathrooms. The project pairs classic Mercury Mosaics subway tile with a Moroccan Fish Scale floor - creating a composition that feels timeless, intimate, and deeply rooted in craft.

The Jewel Boxes

A departure from the scale of their typical projects, the architects described these bathrooms as “jewel boxes.” Designed for an author’s historic Park Slope townhouse, the spaces prove that a small footprint can still hold extraordinary detail and craftsmanship.
