Simple Ways to Create Patterns with Standard Tile

Simple Ways to Create Patterns with Standard Tile

We've always wanted to make your tile dreams come true, no matter how large or small your project may be. In honor of this mission, we launched our online shop last year, making our artisan ceramic tile accessible to anyone around the world. Since then, we've been delivering easy-to-install sheets of tile right to your door. This year we're stretching our creativity by inventing new patterns of tile, which can be sold in standard sheets. This means you don't have to pay extra for these unique designs. Some are already available on our shop, others can be easily purchased by contacting us.

Here are 9 different creative tile patterns that we've created just for you to get a custom look while staying within budget.

1. Sophisticated Herringbone Pattern

This classic pattern is created by laying the subway tile diagonally to create cascading "V" shapes. Lucky for you, we sell our tile in the herringbone pattern on easy interlocking mesh sheets- no need to spin your head trying to figure out this creative tile pattern.

One great kitchen backsplash idea? Add a fun accent piece to your kitchen backsplash with our ready-to-ship Bubble Stove Splashes! Take the extra designing out of the equation by purchasing one of these pre-made accents. We think these stunning stove splashes look best surrounded by Subway Tile. 3. Retro Hexagon Flower Pattern

With the gaining popularity of Mid-Century Modern interiors, retro tile designs are on the rise! This sweet Hexagon Flower Pattern is shoppable at our online shop here. Learn more about the posh and polished project below with our blog "Stunning Sapphire Blue Tile Design for a Small Bathroom"

4. Single-Toned Star Pattern

Add this beautiful pattern to your next remodel and your tile is sure to be the star of the show. We love mixing shapes, but none seem to go together as well as our Diamonds and Hexagons. We created this variation by arranging 6 Medium Diamonds in a star pattern, and separating each star with a Large Hexagon.

 5. Two-Toned Star Pattern

Although this Two-Toned Star Pattern was created solely with Large Diamonds, the same effect can be achieved with the Medium Diamond and Large Hexagon pattern pictured below. The star and hexagon shapes are separated by color, creating an enchanting and bold design. Looking for more fun floor projects like this? 6. Cube Diamond and Hexagon Pattern

This pattern is another variation of mixing our Medium Diamonds with Large Hexagons. Here we create random groupings of cube diamonds, paired with large hexagons, giving this design a three-dimensional, cubist feel. This new concept is quickly becoming a hit, and although it's not on our website yet, feel free to reach out to our team for pricing and lead times.

7. Moroccan Fish Scale Wave

Make a beautifully intriguing hourglass shape with our wave pattern. This layout was created with our Moroccan Fish Scale Tile by arranging the tile in mirroring orientations. This motif creates movement and adds instant flow to your tile project. Find out the "4 Ways to Create Beauty with Moroccan Fish Scales" for more layout ideas.

9. Monochromatic Mixes

Another way to keep your tile simple without sacrificing design is to play around with color. Did you know that you can add as many colors as you'd like to a standard tile shape without any additional cost? By choosing a monochromatic mix you'll achieve a beautiful organic pattern that's truly one-of-a-kind.
