8 Tiled Bar Backsplash Ideas You'll Love

Even more than top shelf bottles and masterful mixology, a good bar is all about ambiance. It doesn’t matter if you’re building an at-home entertaining area or the centerpiece to a new restaurant, we have plenty of inspiration for you to drink in. Here’s a rundown of some of our all-time favorite tiled bar fronts and bar backsplash ideas and executions.

1. Onyx Blend Home Bar Nook

We’re kicking things off with a bold bar backsplash, featuring subway and herringbone tile in our Onyx blend. The unique tile placement paired with the rich glazes combines to create a dramatic and beautiful wet bar. It’s the perfect scene for mixing and imbing your favorite cocktail.

2. English Basement Tiled Pub

This at-home bar channels the warmth of a classic English basement pub. The dark wood hutch is contrasted by a vibrant green subway tile, giving the room an old academia feel. It creates an atmosphere where you can expect to sip on a Pimm’s Cup or a glass of brandy.

3. Office Bar Backsplash

Next is an example of how you can easily update a classic to make it more modern and sleek. Unlike traditional subway tile that’s staggered horizontally, the team at Studio Grey vertically stacked the tile for this bar backsplash. The subtle yet striking ombre palette incorporates black, green and iridescent grey glazes. A floating shelf completes the look, giving the owners a chance to show off their stunning barware collection.

4. Kitchen Drink Bar Backsplash

If you’re looking for wet bar ideas, Bari J designed the perfect example of how you don’t need an entire wall of tile to make an impact. Instead of a full tile backsplash, Bari added a tile border using our Small Bricks and Squares in Emerald. This adds a touch of whimsy to the wet bar, while complimenting the paintings and decor.

5. Tiled Oyster Bar Backsplash

Fun and funky are precisely how we’d describe Saltie Girl Oyster Bar. They adorn the bar front with our Large Moroccan Fish Scale tile in a blue-green glaze, shaking up the traditional layout by placing the tile sideways to make the bar appear longer. We love how they combine different patterns throughout the bar, creating a restaurant that feels vibrant and welcoming.

6. Deep Green Herringbone Bar Tile

The deep green hues that run throughout this bar designed by Sims Patrick Studio create an entirely sumptuous space. Located along the lush banks of the Savannah river, the bar at the Salt & Marrow pulls its color palette from the surrounding environment, with the walls draped in our handmade herringbone tile in an emerald-green glaze.

Beautiful bars aren’t just for imbibing your spirits of choice; they can also set the scene for your favorite coffee shop. The indoor-outdoor bar at this Bluestone Lane is already a beautiful design, but the floor-to-ceiling Moroccan Fish Scale tile makes it awe-inspiring.
