8 Bar Design Tiled Backsplash Ideas

8 Bar Design Tiled Backsplash Ideas

With the holidays right around the corner, it's time to dress up your bar. Fresh flowers, festive garlands, crystal decanters and copper mugs are beautiful accessories but the best bar accessory of all is tile! Adding a bar backsplash is the perfect opportunity to get creative with a small space while not breaking the bank. Here are 8 tiled backsplash ideas for bar designs we love...

1. DIY Tiled Bar

Not being able to tile without owning a house is a total bummer... or so we thought until we saw this jaw-dropping Cabinetry Refined hutch. Fear no more renters - this tiled hutch is giving us all the inspiration for a bar that you can tile and take with you when you move to your next home. Instead of giving up your tile dreams, try refurnishing a hutch and transforming it into the ultimate holiday bar set up.

2. Dramatic and Bold

Create a luxurious bar space by using a dark satin glaze. Satin finishes are totally underrated in our opinion. They have a nice, smooth finish with a slight sheen when caught by the light. Add an extra dimension by mixing a satin glaze with a glossy glaze. Our 366 Satin Black mixed with 613 Black is a killer combo for a dramatic and bold bar backsplash that will leave your company with tile envy.

3. Mixing Patterns

The Saltie Girl Oyster Bar is giving us major bar envy. Instead of the conventional layout of Moroccan Fish Scales, they decided to flip them sideways for a unique look. This gives the illusion that the bar is much longer than it is. This bar mastered the concept of mixing patterns. Don't be afraid to get creative with different designs, try pairing a funky wallpaper with handmade tile!

4. Warm Hue Whiskey Bar Tile

Who else wants to come home after a long day to this beautiful home bar? The warm Craftsman-inspired tile wall is a lovely backdrop to organize your bottles and glasses. For those with earthy spirits, this burnt hue color palette is ideal for a welcoming environment with casual elegance. From terra-cotta floors to caramel farmhouse backsplashes, these cozy colors are timeless and trendy.

5. Emerald Green Backsplash

It's no secret that jewel toned hexagons are taking over the design world. We adore these emerald six sided beauties as a bar backsplash. Since a bar nook is much smaller than the rest of the kitchen, it's the perfect place to get creative with color and shape. A bar backsplash doesn't require much square footage of tile so it's totally affordable to splurge on something fun and exciting.

6. Less is More

This Bari J. drink station proves that you don't need a whole wall of tile to make an impact. If you aren't committed to a full backsplash, try this approach by adding a border of tile around your bar area and line it with trim. This way, it allows you to add paintings and other decor above the tile. We absolutely adore this whimsical bar area.

7. Stacked Subway Ombre

Sometimes all you need to make a statement is flip a classic on its side. By simply stacking subway tile vertically it gets a whole new vibe - sophisticated, sleek, and bold. To make this project even more of a looker, Studio Grey opted for a unique and subtle ombre going from black, green, to an iridescent grey. To top it off, they added a gorgeous floating shelf across the entire backsplash with accent lighting that adds a stunning highlight on the tile.

8. Dazzling Diamonds

Nothing shines brighter than our Diamonds in 75 Emerald. With copper accents, white cabinetry and open shelving, this bar nook by Quality Cut Design is an all time favorite of ours. These mesh-mounted diamond sheets are interlocking and easy-to-install. It's the perfect DIY project to get your bar design shining as bright as this one.

I love an exclusive corner. I am planning to change the decoration of my house and I will opt for a bar area bar-area and I will be inspired by this site. I’m not sure whether to choose red walls or focus on objects in that tone.
